πŸš€ Understanding Targeted Discount Types

Before creating your targeted sale prices, it's essential to understand the three discount types available in the Simple Pricing Rules of the Discount Rules and Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce plugin:

Adjustment Types Explained

Adjustment TypeHow It WorksExample
Percentage discountApplies a percentage off the original product price20% off a $25 product = $20.00
Price discountApplies a fixed dollar amount off the original product price$5 off a $25 product = $20.00
Fixed priceSets the product price to a specific fixed amountFixed price of $15 on a $25 product = $15.00

Important Notes:

  • Percentage discount is best for proportional savings that scale with product prices
  • Price discount is best for consistent savings that don't scale with price
  • Fixed price is best for setting a maximum price point regardless of original price

Now you're ready to create targeted sale rules under the Woo Pricing & Discounts > Pricing tab.
